Strategic and planning
Ability to apply electrical & electronics technology concepts to the maintenance environment to improve effectiveness of electrical & electronic maintenance activities.
Functional
Core:
- Demonstrates advanced technical knowledge of more than one trade area( eg: mechanical, electrical, electronic) and oversee multiple incidents & repair activities involving multiple trade areas.
- Ability to provide insights into emerging trends and advanced technologies in trouble shooting.
- Ability to make sound recommendations addressing staffing and training to minimize the downtimes.
- Ability to perform vibration analysis, condition monitoring and reliability engineering to ensure that an asset shall operate to a defined standard for a defined period of time in a defined environment.
- Conduct reliability tests and experiments to check component performance; provide reliability data and findings for reliability analysis and improvement.
- Ability to calculate mean time between failures (MTBF)and determine lifecycle of product.
- Ability to review & finalize quarterly requirements of spares and takes action with the purchase dept. either directly or through Plant Head on the short falls or for the excess procurements if any, for the disposal of non-moving materials.
- Ability to apply expert mechanical concepts (e.g. working and design principles) related to machines (e.g. Pneumatic equipment, grinders, cutting tools, pumps, motors, gear boxes, machine tools, high tech CNCs, PLC operated and Servo operated machines etc.) in maintenance activities.
People development
- Ability to guide preparation of SOPs and other documents based on machine drawings and technical specifications to drive knowledge penetration to lower levels.
