Job Responsibilites :

• Functional Responsibilities

   

  1. Standardization & Technical Governance

   

  • Lead Automation & Control participation in Contract Review Meetings (CRM) to define and finalize project scope for execution.
  • Review User Requirement Specifications (URS) received from Sales and provide techno-commercial feasibility assessment, risk evaluation, and compliance recommendations from the ACGE perspective.
  • Ensure effective project handover to all Automation & Control sub-verticals by providing complete technical and commercial inputs for successful execution.
  • Drive standardization of control systems, software architecture, electrical designs, and engineering practices across machine platforms.
    • Collaborate with the Master Team to provide technical feedback, machine data, and standardization inputs for continuous improvement of machine models.
    • Review and validate master machine designs, software standards, and engineering changes before implementation in operational projects.
    • Govern Master and Local Reference Change Control processes, ensuring proper documentation, approval, and implementation of engineering changes.
    • Coordinate collection and evaluation of site feedback and initiate change requests to ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of Master and Local References.

    2. Internal Quality & Continuous Improvement

     

    • Lead Standardization & Internal Quality initiatives to improve machine reliability, performance, compliance, and engineering efficiency.
    • Drive root cause analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce internal and field quality issues.
    • Actively participate in Gemba, CAPA, and Aftermarket review meetings to address recurring customer complaints and enhance machine performance.
    • Identify and implement opportunities for cost optimization, value engineering, standardization, feature enhancement, and improved user experience.
    • Monitor internal quality performance and ensure timely closure of quality observations and corrective actions.
    • Develop and implement quality checkpoints, validation processes, and engineering best practices across Automation & Control activities.

     

    3. Validation, Testing & Compliance

     

    • Own the planning, execution, testing, validation, and documentation of Proof of Concept (POC) activities for new hardware, software, and technology introductions.
    • Conduct validation and testing of master machine concepts and ensure successful deployment into standard machine platforms.
    • Ensure functional testing and validation of machine software, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, and associated automation systems.
    • Support and ensure successful Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), including implementation of customer-specific FAT requirements and closure of observations.
    • Ensure machine compliance with applicable international standards and regulatory requirements, including CE, UL, NR12, 21 CFR, and other relevant standards.
    • Review technical solutions and ensure customization of control systems and software to meet customer-specific operational and regulatory requirements.

    4. Digitalization & Industry 4.0

    • Lead IIoT-related activities, including machine connectivity validation, tag list preparation, data verification, testing, and implementation.
    • Support digitalization initiatives by validating machine data structures, communication protocols, and Industry 4.0 requirements.
    • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure successful deployment of IIoT and smart manufacturing solutions across applicable machine platforms.

    • 5. Cross-Functional Engineering Support

      • Support the Hardware Lead in verification of process inputs, preparation of URS deviation reports, and execution of change control processes.
      • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, and Aftermarket teams to ensure alignment of technical requirements and quality objectives.
      • Provide technical guidance and recommendations during project execution, validation activities, and customer-specific engineering requirements.

       

      6. Team Leadership & Capability Development

      • Lead, mentor, and develop engineers within the Standardization & Internal Quality team.
      • Allocate responsibilities, monitor execution, and ensure timely completion of deliverables with required quality standards.
      • Foster a culture of technical excellence, standardization, compliance, continuous learning, and customer focus.
      • Support competency development of team members through coaching, technical reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

       

                                      Internal Process Responsibilities

• • • • Ensure preparation, review, approval, and maintenance of all automation and electrical documentation, including PLC validation reports, manuals, ITRs, test reports, and project records.
      • Ensure adherence to ACGE guidelines, business processes, engineering standards, ISO requirements, and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
      • Maintain effective version control, revision management, backup systems, and traceability of software, electrical designs, and machine files.
      • Ensure timely review, resolution, and closure of QA, Inspection & Commissioning (I&C), FAT, and audit observations.
      • Establish and monitor engineering quality KPIs and ensure compliance with defined departmental objectives.
      • Drive standardization, process improvement, and knowledge management initiatives within the Automation & Control function.
      • Ensure all engineering deliverables are completed in accordance with quality, safety, compliance, cost, and timeline commitments.

                                Experience : 14 - 17 Years
