Primary Responsibilities
Strategic Planning Activities:
Core:
• Generate Requirements out of MRP and convert them into Purchase Orders
• Create blanket Purchase Orders for Category A items along with schedules
• Ensure coordination with the plant Production team to ensure smooth execution of operating productions plans
• Develop new vendors for various procurement activities
• Create rates in the system for every item code in system
• Ensure adequate inventory management for all the Category A products
• Maintain re-order level (ROL) and safety stocks for all plants in a half yearly basis and apply necessary correction in order to optimize inventory
• Handle rejections and returns to suppliers within the defined Period
• Ensure cost optimization for all the processes in Procurement
• Carry out new vendor management activity.
• Ensure higher Capex and Indents procurement in alignment with Group SCM team
• Ensure coordination with cross functional team in order to ensure timely delivery of required stocks (RM, PM, Engineering spares, bought out products etc.)
Internal Processes:
• Prepare and share MIS on consumption of RM (gelatine/HPMC) along with inventory (in days) on monthly basis with Head Procurement
• Prepare and share OTDIF reports with Head Procurement on a monthly basis.

- On-Time & Full delivery of imported RM as per the budget
- Safety Stock Maintenance as per the agreed budget
- Material Cost Reduction against budget
- Vendor Development against budget
