  1. Job Objective
  • To carry out Planned and Breakdown maintenance activities for plant.
  • Delegation of task to Technicians.
  • Implementation of various initiatives handed over by the Manager.
  • Various cost saving, improvement, modification Initiatives to be implemented.
  1. Primary responsibilities

Strategic and planning

  • Plan & Implement of various activities to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Plan, Control and maintain the departmental maintenance expenses budget.
  • Administer Routine maintenance activities and provide necessary support to technicians to achieve departmental goals.
  • Assessing the needs of equipment replacements & spare parts.

Core Functional

Core

  • To achieve departmental goals towards plant reliability and maintenance expenses.
  • To involve in the erection, commissioning, balancing & testing of new equipment.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
  • To complete documentation related to Safety, PM activities and ISO45000.
  • Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of a variety of electro-mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems are undertaken.
  • Adhere to daily, weekly, monthly and yearly  checks to ensure smooth operation of all plant equipment’s.
  • To ensure critical Spares parts availability 
  •  

Internal Processes

  • Cross Functional departmental team daily kaizen meetings. 
  • Assist in preparing & forecasting all budget requirements.
  • Support to internal customers in the process improvement.
  • Produce written reports for generation of monthly & annual  MIS presentations.

People development

  • Second line development and training.
  • Skills development for all departmental persons.
  • Carry out required Inhouse training for improving the skills of Technicians. 

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
