Primary Responsibilities

Assembly & Prototyping: 
•    Execute and supervise the assembly of new machines and modules as per specifications.
•    Provide assembly-related feedback to design teams for manufacturability and serviceability.
Trials & Testing:
•    Plan and conduct machine trials, performance testing, FAT and SAT.
•    Document results, analyse deviations, troubleshoot issues, and recommend actions.
•    Validate assemblies for functionality, performance, and reliability.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
•    Work closely with design, procurement, quality, and PPC to align with project milestones.
•    Serve as the technical point of contact for assembly and trial-related activities within NPD.
Process & Quality Assurance:
•    Follow SOPs and quality standards for assembly, testing, and validation.
•    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize assembly and testing cycles.
Project Support :
•    Assist the Project Manager in achieving NPD project deliverables by ensuring material readiness, timely assembly, and successful trials.
•    Provide technical support during customer visits, demonstrations, and reviews.
 

Key Result Areas

•    On-time assembly & trials for prototype, beta, and FAT/SAT builds
•    Resource planning  of manpower, tools, fixtures & consumables for smooth execution
•    Accurate documentation & digitalisation through Teamcenter/SAP
•    Cross-functional collaboration with Design, Manufacturing, Testing & Application teams
•    Apply Lean practices – 6S, Gemba, Shopfloor management, Kaizen for efficiency & quality
•    Mentor and motivate team members; promote safety and a collaborative culture
