Officer, Design, SciTech Centre

Job Position: Officer - Design Draughtsman 

Key Educational Qualification: ITI in Mechanical Draughtsman (minimum mandatory requirement. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Preferable but not mandatory) NCTVT of 1 year. (Preferrable but not essential) Basic Knowledge of CAD Software like SOLID EDGE (Preferrable but not essential) Basic Knowledge of TEAMCENTER PDM/PLM Software (preferable but not essential) 

Level Specific Accountabilities: Prepares 3D models, drafts, & BOMs of the designs based on the 2D or 3D layouts prepared by SciTech’s designers within a given timeframe in SOLID EDGE WITH or WITHOUT TEAMCENTER SYSTEM. Working in SOLID EDGE-TEAMCENTER platform. 

Scope of work: Operates within general work instructions and supervision of the reporting manager / senior manager or Design engineer who will assign the work time to time. Preparation of detail or assembly design in 2D/3D format using CAD software. Preparation of Bill of Materials. Migration of data in TEAMCENTER if CAD data is available/ prepared without TEAMCENTER.

Technical / Functional/ Behavioral: Excellent knowledge of SOLID EDGE 2D & 3D DESIGN software (mandatory & should be currently using this software). Good understanding of drafting guidelines, GD&T. Basic knowledge of cams, gears, sprockets, sheet metals & fabrications etc. Basic level knowledge of conventional manufacturing processes (Preferable but not mandatory). Basic level of knowledge of Microsoft office tools like word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. (Preferable but not mandatory). Beginner level communications skills & ability to work in team.
