  1. Job Objective

The role will be responsible for setter, executor, and continuous reviewer the organizational strategy for ACG Capsules, while embedding Business Intelligence (BI) as core enablers of decision-making. The role will ensure strategy is balanced across the 7S framework, translated into actionable plans, tracked rigorously, and supported by strong organizational capabilities across people, processes, and systems.

 

  1. Primary responsibilities

1. Strategy Partnership & Governance

  • Partner with senior leadership to support the development, refinement, and communication of ACG Capsules’ organizational strategy in alignment with long-term business objectives.
  • Provide structured inputs to ensure strategic alignment across key organizational elements (Strategy, Structure, Systems, Shared Values, Style, Staff, and Skills).
  • Review progress of strategic initiatives, highlight risks and dependencies, and recommend course corrections where required.
  • Help maintain governance frameworks, milestones, and review mechanisms for enterprise strategy execution.

 

2. Strategy Execution & Performance Tracking

  • Translate enterprise strategy into actionable plans in collaboration with functional and departmental leaders.
  • Define, review, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) linked to strategic priorities.
  • Present consolidated dashboards, insights, and executive summaries to leadership forums.
  • Support disciplined follow-through on cross-functional strategic initiatives.

 

3. Business Analytics, BI & In sighting

  • Guide the evolution and adoption of enterprise BI and analytics capabilities aligned with business priorities.
  • Partner with business heads to define and refine key business metrics across Sales & Commercial, Manufacturing & Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, and Regulatory.
  • Review and interpret analytical outputs to surface trends, risks, and opportunities for leadership decision-making.
  • Strengthen data governance practices to improve data quality, consistency, and reporting reliability.

 

4. AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement

  • Collaborate with leadership and technology partners to identify and prioritize AI/ML use cases relevant to the pharma excipient business, including:
  • Demand forecasting and market intelligence
  • Pricing and margin optimization
  • Customer segmentation and value-based selling
  • Sponsor and guide pilot programs, ensuring alignment with business value and risk considerations.

 

5. Organizational Capability Building

  • Assess capability gaps across people, processes, and systems that may impact strategy execution.
  • Design and support targeted interventions, including process improvements, system enablement, and leadership and team development initiatives.
  • Contribute to strengthening the maturity and credibility of the Strategy / BI function within the organization.

 

6. Support strategic Investment & Growth Initiatives to the corporate team

  • Develop data-backed strategic proposals and business cases for initiatives such as:
    • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
    • Procurement of new machines or technologies
    • Setting up new manufacturing facilities or expansions
  • Support leadership decision-making with scenario analysis, ROI modeling, and risk assessment.

 

7. People Leadership & Performance Culture

  • Build and lead a high-performing, performance-driven team within the Strategy function.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, regular performance monitoring, and constructive feedback.
  • Develop talent within the team by providing adequate exposure, stretch assignments, and growth opportunities, enabling readiness for higher roles.
  • Partner with HR to promote data literacy, analytical thinking, and AI adoption across leadership and business teams.

 

9. Change Leadership

  • Act as a change agent, driving the shift from intuition-led to insight-led decision-making.
  • Champion adoption of analytics and AI by influencing leadership behaviors and decision processes.
  • Ensure sustained change through communication, capability building, and role modeling.

 

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

Minimum Requirement

Desired

Level of Education

  • MBA / Master’s degree in Strategy, Analytics, Engineering, Data Science, or related discipline

Certifications in Analytics, AI, Digital Transformation, or Strategy

Experience

  • 10–15 years of experience in strategy, analytics, transformation, or business leadership roles
  • Prior exposure to pharma, excipients, specialty chemicals, or manufacturing strongly preferred
