Primary Responsibilities
Process implementation and maintenance:
Implementation and maintenance of integrated Health, Safety & Environment Management (EHS) systems across the plots and being one point of contact for any EHS related issue
Maintenance of all EHS management system related documents
Ensuring implementation of all safety related legal compliances & Audit
Conducting Safety Audits, Inspections, Internal Audits, EHS audit and electrical audit.
Successfully implementation of safety practices, initiatives, systems applicable to plant in line with corporate & legal safety guidelines
Plays active role in Fire Protection, fire Prevention and ensuring safe evacuation of associates while emergency.
Incident/Accident Investigation with depth root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action plan for preventing reoccurrence.
Legal compliance with respect to Health, Safety and Environment and as per Maharashtra factory rules and others that applicable to industry
Develop the safety policies and procedures for improvement in HSE System, Enforcement of work permit system
Advising the plant management for procurement and keeping Minimum stock level of PPE’s
Review and report of abnormalities in current work practices with proper CAPA
Continuously engaged on HIRA for all activities within the organization as per the changes in operation, process, material, machines and surrounding conditions
People process management
Should able to involve all associates in HIRA and aspect-impact assessment.
Facilitating and conducting various training and awareness Programs on safety and training employees on different safety topics in order to create safety culture and awareness throughout the plant by different initiatives.
Advise/guide to shop floor associates on the safety aspects of job studies and to carry out detailed job safety analysis
Conducting safety committee meeting & leading it at plant & corporate level
Ensuring all safety measures available and in working condition
Identifying the Hazards and communicating to the area owners
Reviewing and inspecting the site during everyday safety walkaround.
Ensuring that the legal register is always updated
Ensuring that the evacuation plan is in existence
Successfully conducting Mock drills as per defined SOP’s
Initiating the actions to close for the complaints/suggestion raised by different stakeholders
Ensuring suitable work instruction are prepared and are communicated to concerned
Preparing and sending MIS and incident report time to time to shop floor management and corporate safety
Thorough experience in dealing with Fire Department, MPCB other government officials for relevant audits and inspections

Makes recommendations on matters in his/her specific area of expertise (e.g. safety initiatives, projects, etc.)
Planning and preparing Budgets for procurement of safety equipments or upgradation of existing EHS infrastructure

Key Educational Qualification:
BE/Diploma Electrical/Mechanical OR Science Graduate + ADIS (Advance diploma in industrial safety)
Certified from Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
