Lead- Export Logistics

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic and planning

Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
Freight optimization for air export consignment as per customer orders.
Core Functional

Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers.
Co-ordinate with sales and manufacturing for preparation of daily, weekly and monthly dispatch plan and monitor execution of the plan
Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performance.
Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers in consultation with Corporate commercial.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities.
Manage export logistics consists of liaising with clearing agents, shipping line, forwarders, for timely arrangement of containers, despatches, and smooth export consignments.
Internal Process

Ensuring export documentation with bank, government offices, customs, insurance company, export inspection agency, ECGC for timely compliances.
Ensure timely and error free pre-shipment and post-shipment documentations.
Manage and update daily, weekly and monthly MIS on logistics status.
Ensure all export benefits are taken, as announced by Commerce Ministry from time to time
Explore newer logistics digital tools and technologies from the market and Initiate / support implementation for the same.
Vendor management

Establish long term relationship with various service providers & establishes network with customs department.
Monitor and evaluate the vendors performance in line with defined metrics periodically & enables improve the vendor performance.
People development

Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
Ensure IDP needs of department are executed.
Ensure team engagement & motivation thru various engagement initiatives

Educational and Experience Requirements

Any Post Graduate ( With specialisation in Import and Export) having 8-10 Years of relevant experience.
